2 chihuahuas

Just a warning. The photo below is graphic.

Nikki emailed me a few days ago asking for me to ask for prayer for her little Chi who was acting sick. She took her little fur girl to the vet where they did tests. Surgery was required. Bambi had never been spayed and her uterus was enlarged and infected.

Below is the photos of it.

Nikki urges everyone who has a dog who has not been spayed or neutered, should get it done as soon as possible for the health of their pets. I agree.

In her case, I'd wait a while for spaying. 3.5 pounds is just too small for surgery unless neccessary.

My chi has had a heart murmur since birth and the vet advised against spaying because of this. Has modern procedures advanced enough so that it would be safe now?

My puppy also has a heart murmur that was found when I took her in to be spayed. They wouldn't proceed until she saw a cardiologist. She does have a murmur but has been cleared for surgery when we set up another appointment.

Probably not Diana. But you could always ask your vet the next time you are there about it.

Would like to know where I can find information about dog seizures, specifically about Chihuahuas.
