Today’s Chi Tip
Most people assume if a dog wags his tail, he’s happy but that isn’t always necessarily true. If a dog’s tail is held high while wagging, he may feel agitated or threatened. At a horizontal angle while wagging, the dog is attentive and alert. At a medium angle, the dog is relaxed and happy. If the tail is low and wagging somewhat slowly, the dog is submitting and maybe a little fearful or may just not feel good.
Chihuahua Fun Fact
Dogs don’t enjoy being hugged as much as humans and other primates. Canines interpret putting a limb over another animal as a sign of dominance.
