Chi Item of the Week
Today’s Chi Tip
Is your Chi afraid of people? When a friendly person comes into your home, here’s the steps to help your Chi become comfortable around the new person:
1-Give the person a dog treat and ask them to toss it near your dog and then ignore him and chat with you.
2-If the dog comes near the stranger, ask him to kneel down but don’t touvh your dog.
3-If the dog comes closer, tell the person to hold out his hand to the dog but keep it low, reaching low to pet the pup’s chest.
4-At this point, the person can give your dog another small treat.
5-If your dog does,’t approach the stranger, do not force her to do so but do give her more opportunities to socialize with people she doesn’t know.
A musical Chi! What talent!
Chihuahua Fun Fact
Not a Chi or dog fact per se. but an interesting dog related fact: The Beatles song “A day in the Life” has an extra high-pitched whistle, audible only to dogs. It was recorded by Paul McCartney for the enjoyment of his dog.
