We all know how we communicate with our dogs but now North Carolina State University has come up with a new harness that houses a device that will communicate directly with the dog wearing it in a way he will understand.
“We’ve developed a platform for computer-mediated communication between humans and dogs that opens the door to new avenues for interpreting dogs’ behavioral signals and sending them clear and unambiguous cues in return,” says Dr. David Roberts, an assistant professor of computer science at NC State and co-lead author of a paper on the work.
The harness itself is supposedly comfortable for the dog, It’s equipped with sensors that will transmit whatever the dog is doing. The data collected by this will allow scientists to interpret what the dog is trying to communicate.
Fascinating, isn’t it? You can read the full article about this harness here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2814936/Squirrel-hi-tech-dog-translator-backpack-lets-communicate-canine-companion-monitor-health.html
