We adopted my mother's 8 year old Deerhead Chihuahua! My mother passed away and had to euthanize my husband's service, a 15-year old German Shepherd. Our Chihuahua acts like a Service Dog because he became best friends with our German Shepherd. So grateful for how it all worked out, as we were grieving for our dog and my mother!! I have been looking in the ABQ area, hoping to add more Chihuahuas to our family. We absolutely adore this breed!!!

I'm glad you gave your mom's dog a loving home. So many of them are dumped when a family member dies.

Awwwwwwww, so sweet. Please someone in that area, go and adopt not only the puppy's but also the Momma doggie as well and give them all a forever home. If I would ever "win" the lottery, forever homes for poochies would be how I'd spend it. They are all just pure love on four paws!
