Watch this video and let me know what you think. The guy isn’t being mean to his chi (although a few things are questionable) but everything he does is clearly aggravating it.
What should he do to get this little guy to calm down when just petting him gets him going? Notice his little white sibling trying to calm him down.
I tease my lil fella sometimes too. If you give him a treat or a cookie, anything really just tell him its his and you play hell getting it from him. They’re just so little and act they are going to rip your arm off, its quite amusing sometimes.
Not a good idea to tease him like that Jenny. It will make him aggressive.
Oh, he’s my baby, i just point at him, or act like I gonna touch his treat and he starts growling, and then I pick him up and love all over him while sneaking the treat. He’ll get ahold of a bone and my husband will not take it away from him for fear of getting bit. I can get it from him. He’s always been a little on the aggresive side, especially towards our boxer Lucky, Popeye will be sleeping under a blanket and hear Lucky try and walk (sneak) by and he’s up, out and running down the couch acting like he is going to rip his head off. Now that we got him a girlfriend he’s been worse, and even worse since she had a litter of puppies, he’s barking at Lucky and Daisy is snapping and barking at him, and she never snaps. Popeye is very territorial over me and my female. If anyone comes over he act like a terror. We’ve tried putting him in the bedroom and he just doesn’t stop. That just the way he is, a Pittbull in a tiny body. And my boxer thinks he’s a little lap dog, a chihuahua in a big body. LOL

U keep teasing him an he bits u its ur problem y would u do that for him to com down u have to stop what ur doing to him they dont like anything in there face i have one an she a good girl if she doesnt like something she lets me no stop the teasing
Yep, teasing is not funny, it’s cruel and definitely can cause behavior problems.
@kilosmom, YES, I agree I’m having to defend this breed because “sometimes”, how us humans interact with them. It’s frustrating because I love this breed and many people have negative opinions of them 🙄
Yes, and I have seen a few that because of bad breeding, they were crazy and unpredictable even when they had a good upbringing. The jerks who have no standards and just have puppy mills are the real villains bringing the breed down.

You are making that dog aggressive doing that to him just quite teasing him and he will come down.
I don’t tease him too much, and he’s always going to be aggressive. I got him when he was two years old. Poor little baby was skin and bones, You could see his little hip bones and count the vertebrae down his little back. I took him straight under my wing and fed him and loved him up to a whoppin 4 lbs of pure Sunshine and still with the Napoleon syndrome, the littlest badass in the whole state of Texas, he thinks he is anyway..

Some of the time, he’s sort of teasing the dog but at first he was just trying to pet it and the dog didn’t want him to do that.
It looks to me like they are playing.
My baby only wants to wrestle and play fight with me.
He “bites” me with no real contact and sounds like he is going to eat me up.
The Chihuahuas tail was wagging most of the time.
Hopefully the chi is just playing. But dogs will also wag their tails when they are mad too sometimes.
This is torture to that poor little chi and really makes me mad. Give it up to someone who will love it.
I agree ,I instantly got angry watching this and seeing MANY MORE of these videos were made Teasing and taunting this poor thing.This baby needs to go to a home that will just love him and not make all these videos teasing him…This person is a PIECE OF SHIT…..

Maybe Mary although I have seen some who have great families and are treated wonderfully but they still act like this. I think in some cases it’s just bad breeding.
The man is acting dominant towards the dog. But he let s the chi be on top of him
So the chi will correct the man. The man schould put the dog on the floor. And read some books about raising a dog. Dogs dont understand teasing. So at some point the chi will bite. And that makes sense to me.

Totally wrong wrong wrong that little guy needs a strong alpha not a tormentor. Watch Ceaser for one. Get down to his level on the rug NEVER EVER TEASE THEM WITH THEIR FOOD OR TOYS. That is not fun to them. Wagging is not always happy. He is warning you. Read up on the signs of playing and aggression. Who wrote that the dog should be put down? That person needs to be pet free I am thinking. This little guy could be happy and healthy with proper guidance and direction.

This is not a toy for you to continually aggrivate. Try being loving to it. It’s obvious he hates your actions.
Another thing all of you that make excuses for your actions need to hear yourselves and grow up. None of this is the dogs fault it’s all you. All animals want to be loved and held. This is torture. If you can’t stop give it to someone who cares.
I totally agree! And for the person who said the dog was obnoxious and should be put down..WHY..?. He is being treated badly and he is warning the Human that he doesn’t like it.. You don’t deserve that baby to treat him that way..
He is clearly aggravating the dog. Lets see how he would like fingers stuck in his face etc. HIS behaviour is questionable, not the dogs. The other dog is getting upset by this. He is an ass. Go out and play or do something instead of tormenting the dog. He would not do that in my house to my dog. Maybe he can’t inteact with human beings. If he is that much of an annoyance to animals then people probably can’t stand him too. The dogs should be taken away. He torments one and ignores the other.

A strong NO works with my two most of the time. He appears to try to irritate or excite the dog prior to petting. Stop doing that and simply pet or gently scratch head, chin, or tummy.
A strong NO works with mine too though I rarely have to discipline them. Dogs usually want to please you but they will let you know if they don’t like something.

I hope they don’t have any kids that come around regularly. They are teaching the dog to be aggressive by touching and teasing it whilst it’s warning them to stop. The dog will learn that earnings don’t work and will go straight to attacking. A kid won’t know how to read body language (if e dog even displays any after learning that threats don’t get anywhere). Gonna result in biting, which for a child could be worse not to mention that child then had the trauma of being attacked by a dog, trust me I’ve seen kids screaming and climbing fences to get away from chihuahuas just because they have been nipped in the past….
Yeah, I think that’s why so many kids get bitten. They don’t listen to the warnings.
It is clearly the owner who is teasing the chi you just don’t do that because this is the results

The way he’s teasing him it almost makes me wonder if it is his gfs or something and he does that maybe when she isn’t around possibly? Either way I don’t like this he is clearly being mean to the poor baby!

This video was really frustrating for me to watch! People would never like their noses being poked and quiet clearly neither does this poor little one! In my opinion he is making this chihuahua have an aggressive personality and I’ve rescued one chihuahuas because she was very aggressive but after about a year she has become a lot more calmer. I’m sorry but I’m feeling very annoyed by the way he’s annoying this poor baby! Definitely not my way of playing with my girls!

On the “angry” chihuahua. I would leave that dog alone. When we first got our Chico, he had been a mama’s boy and wasn’t really liking men. My husband just waited for Chico to come to him on his own terms. They soon beca.e best friends.

That little chi hates that his owner picks on his snout and mouth and head like it is a plaything. It makes me cringe to see such insensitivity to a wee dog.

sad to see this man tormenting the hell out of this darling chihuahua, sorry to say, kids and men love to see chis all upset, till they get bitten, then that is assumed to be the chis fault.

Yeah that guy (and the dog too) could definitely use a training class.
The guy is obvious only irritating his chiquaqua. They both need to attend basic dog training classes to learn to respect one another.
Training classes are definitely needed for both of them.
I do think he is annoying this dog. I do not believe he is intentionally upsetting it. If his goal is No Barking, just leave it alone.
