My chi Lucy is very fat. She is 3 years old and was neutered as a pup. We feed her on small dog nuts. Can you suggest anything please. She is a wee dote, doesn’t bark just wants cuddles and loves everyone. Thank you Doreen

I'm assuming dog nuts is the same thing as kibble? You are probably feeding her more than she needs. Chis only need 110 calories to 150 calories a day and that's not much. Will she exercise at all? Such as go for a walk or chase after a ball? Try to do anything you can to get her to move some and get some exercise in. Also you may want the vet to check her for thyroid issues. That can definitely cause a dog to be overweight.

This one is sure** to bring a smile ..... Two senior men, one with a small pincher, the other a 3 lb chihuahua, all out for a stroll and then they came to a restaurant, the man with the pincher goes in first and was met by the Server who said, sorry sir, ONLY SERVICE DOGS ALLOWED, the man replied, my wee pincher IS my service dog and the Server said, well, ok, come on in....Waiting in the wings outside was the man with the tiny chihuahua and seeing his friend was seated inside, in he goes, only to be met at the door by the Server, who said, sorry sir, only service dogs allowed, the man replied, but,THIS IS my service dog all 3lb of him and the Server replied, well, in that case, do come in and enjoy..... Whether true or not, worth a chuckle ....

I didn’t see anywhere to comment on your Chihuahua joke, so I’ll comment here. I have to say, my husband and I both thought it was hilarious! Thanks for a good laugh.
