This is Sid, my best friend, my joy, even my running partner.
Sid is a very special boy. I adopted him three years from the humane society after seeing his picture on a Facebook post. It was love at first sight.
I found out when he would be available and I waited outside until they opened. When I met him he completely stole my heart.
In 2011 Joplin MO suffered a horrific F5 tornado and this little guy was found shortly after in one of the destroyed areas. Breaks my heart to know he was all alone and that his previous family may not have survived.
About a year ago, Sid went through a bad attack from a dog and he was hurt pretty bad. His jaw was broke and he ended up having his whole lower jaw removed as well as all his remaining teeth extracted. So now his little tongue always sticks out.
His buddy Puss (the cat) well one of three, stayed by his side while he recovered. He’s as handsome as ever and I tell him so everyday.
Sid is a survivor and I wanted to share this little guy’s story.
