I have mixed feelings about this video. I love how feisty this little Parakeet is and when he jumps on one of the puppy’s backs, it’s funny. But I worry about him. This looks like an accident waiting to happen. Watch and tell me what you think.

Yes it is a accident waiting. My bird of 17 years was always friendly with the dogs but one day I heard him scolding on the living room, I went in and he was laying on the floor dead, blood coming out his nose, that was my little buster. Broke my heart. They get excited and that is what will happen. Please be safe.
That’s too bad Nan. What kind of bird was he?
My boys killed a startling it was bigger than budgie
Yeah they will do that. The hunter instinct just kicks in.
I would never but these 2 species together. The puppies could pounce on the bird and the bird could do damage to the puppies eyes. Not a good idea.
I agree Cynthia.
That does not look like a safe thing for the bird.
I agree Dixie. It’s a tragedy waiting to happen.
I wouldn’t allow the parakeet in the puppies crate because it may not be good in the end
I wouldn’t allow it either.
I think their going to be traumatized every time they go out side and see a bird lol
You may be right Allsion.
Are they for sale
I don’t think so as this video is a few years old. I’m sure they already have homes by now.
I agree with you! Not a good idea. Someone is bound to get hurt!
Yeah as cute as it was. I was so afraid either the bird or a puppy was going to get hurt.
I would definitely keep your bird away from your Chi’s. Particularly if they like toy’s. Your dear bird is going to be mistaken for a toy. Please keep him out of the Chi’s cage.
They aren’t my pets but I agree. It’s a dangerous situation.
I would worry for the parakeet’s safety since he is so much smaller than the puppies. They could inadvertently or accidentally hurt him (or worse), which would be tragic.
I was worried about all of them. That bird could easily put an eye out but those puppies could gang up and kill him.
I agree. Letting the bird play with the pups could be an accident waiting to happen. The bird could put an eye out on a pup or a pup could kill the bird. Either way it would be an accident. Best to keep them apart
I agree Fay.
The first thing i thought of was the puppies eyes, was a cute video though, none the less not worth the risk
I agree Debbie. Not worth the risk.
That is definitely an accident waiting to happen. We had a parrot for 42 years and I would never allow that even with a parakeet!
